Student Rights

The following information is designed to complement University academic integrity policies; in no way does it supersede or replace that information.

Students have the right to:

  • Appeal their educator’s allegations, through the academic integrity process and before outcomes are determined
  • Document their choices and their voice through the academic integrity process 
  • Learn about possible consequences for the violation before choosing to accept responsibility or appeal
  • Appeal the academic outcome(s) proposed by the educator
  • Have outcomes determined by an impartial Academic Integrity Committee 
  • Share information with the Academic Integrity Committee through the academic integrity process and before outcomes are determined
